Invest, Buy & Sell with
Happiness in Mind

I'm a Real Estate Investor & Agent who gave up the golden handcuffs....

Hey, there! I’m Catie Lawrence and I believe true fulfillment comes from an intentional life, one where you invest in the present to better your future. My husband (and business partner) and I have been building a life we love, leveraging real estate to do so, since 2012. Check out our projects to date.

I have implemented multiple strategies from BRRR’s, to live in flips, househacking to short term rentals, fix and flips and long term rentals. In 2021, I was able to quit my W-2 to go
all-in on real estate and I’ve not looked back!

My mission is to help others invest, buy or sell real estate. Whether you want to build long-term wealth, add an additional income stream, quit your W-2 for that passion project or find your dream home….I can help!

I wrote an email series to introduce the strategies I’ve used – sign up below to receive the lessons, things to avoid & tips!

Hear My Story & Experiences...

On today’s episode of Zen and the Art of Real Estate Investing, Jonathan welcomes Catie Lawrence, a Denver-based real estate investor who traded her W-2 job for financial freedom. Catie’s path from an accidental investor to a savvy entrepreneur reveals her strategic approach to property investment and commitment to curating a life of happiness through real estate.

Such a fun and informative episode with Catie. We discussed:

  • The importance of mindset
  • Why assessing your tolerance for risk is so important
  • How Catie set herself up to leave her W-2
  • How Catie and her husband built Happy Homes organically
  • Sharing what you do/offer with everyone you know and networking via events, social media or…

In this episode, Catie, a seasoned real estate agent, investor, and Airbnb super host, shares her secrets on turning vacations into cash-generating opportunities through the powerful strategy of house hacking. Discover how she transforms her primary residence into an income powerhouse, covering mortgages and more.

In this Real FI Podcast, Catie shares her journey towards financial independence. She started in 2006 by house hacking and renting out a room in her primary residence on Airbnb. Catie was able to rent out the room for 30-60 days a year to cover a large portion of her living expenses. In 2015, Catie and her husband founded Happy Homes, Ltd., focusing on flipping, long-term rentals and mid-term rentals. Catie discusses her first flips, partnerships, and the decision to transition to LTRs.

On this  #AskanInvestor,  Jenny and Chris answer all of your investment questions and our guest this week is Catie Lawrence who just left her W2 job to be a full-time real estate agent and investor. She and her husband have a proven track record of flips and BRRRRs but are wondering if they would benefit from a partnership. Watch the episode to learn about different types of partnerships, loan options for self-employed investors, and what lessons Jenny and Chris learned the hard way.

I've been there...

If you’re looking to get into investing to build multiple streams of income using real estate, knowing where to start can feel a bit overwhelming. The amount of information out there can be confusing, recommendations you receive can be out of context and people you follow on social may not have the same end goals as you.  Don’t worry – I’ve been there!

I had a career that paid the bills and allowed me to save aggressively, so I was able to eventually take the leap into something I loved.  It didn’t happen overnight though – it took several years of my working nights, lunch breaks and weekends on our real estate business – with Mike doing the bulk of our flips and rennovations himself. It was hard, but anything worth doing takes effort and time!

Whether you are looking to buy your first home or your first rental or Airbnb, looking to house-hack or get a vacation rental – I’d love to help you in your journey.  Reach out today!

My Lifestyle Design...

I’m a work hard, play hard kinda person and have designed my life with that in mind. In between working with clients, managing 3 long-term rentals, 1 short term rental and being an entrepreneur running my own company, I love to ski, mountain bike and travel.  Here are a few of the things I’ve done  to set this life up…
